Erieview District
The Erieview District has traditionally been the heart of the office district. In fact, due to the many financial institutions along E.9th Street (Key Bank, Amtrust Bank, National City (now part of PNC Bank), and Huntington Bank), this area is also referred to as the financial district of Cleveland.
This district is also home to a growing residential neighborhood along East 12th Street. In fact, outside of the Warehouse District, E.12th Street has the highest concentration of residents in Downtown, close to 3,000! The growth of the neighborhood as a residential district has spurred recent investments such as the new tree-lined streetscape of E.12th, the recently approved renovation of Chester Commons and the first two phases of the $400 million development, The Avenue District.
